THE ANMF (Vic Branch) negotiated a Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of nurses working for the DonateLife division of Lifeblood (Australian Red Cross). The agreement will continue until a new enterprise agreement is negotiated for nurses working for the DonateLife branch. THE ANMF (Vic Branch) and Lifeblood agreed that nurses working in Lifeblood`s DonateLife department would move to a separate agreement from those working in donor services, due to the considerable difference in the nature of their work. The new DonateLife Enterprise Agreement will be discussed with all stakeholders, including the Australian Red Cross, the Victorian Health Medicine Service, which employs care coordinators for donation services, and the Department of Health and Human Services. The agreement also includes access to long-term leave of service after seven years of service (including termination after seven years). The ANMF will continue to keep members informed when negotiations continue in 2021. The Memorandum of Understanding provides for a 3.17% increase in wages from the first full salary period on 1 January 2020 and an increase in wages and allowances of 2% from the first full pay period on 1 January 2021.
